Forget about getting rich quick: The new investment climate, writes Mad Money host Cramer, is "treacherous This new book reflects his caution Cramer's long list of dos and don'ts Relative valuations don't justify a download"; "Stop falling in love with your stocks" is worth the price of the book. Jim Cramer's Get Rich Carefully by James J. Cramer (2013, Hardcover)

The stock market may seem scary, but Cramer says you can make money with research, logic and prudence Whether Cramer's advice will make you a boatload of money or not, his rational explanations make stocks seem less intimidating. Cramer is now professing a different, more traditional, approach to the stock picking. Companies that keep us healthy 3. The New Frugality 4. Shareholder Bounty from anticompetitive mergers 5. Stealth Tech: The power of innovation 6.

New Pharma: The four horsemen of biotech 7. Gushing profits from America's oil and gas revolution In the 4th chapter called "Breaking Up Is Easy To Do" Cramer explains why some companies are better off breaking off some of their pieces and why and gives examples on previous times it worked and didn't work. The 5th chapter is about his "bankable 21" which is about 21 ceos that you can trust and ride with.

I found this chapter very informative and interesting. He goes on to dedicate a whole chapter to charting, for fundamentalists of course. Cramer as a fundamentalist was never a huge fan of charting until proven multiple times that it worked by his colleagues. Here, he keenly tells you how you can use it to help you without depending on it. It allayed some of my charting aversion for sure.

In the last few chapters he talks about his charitable trust which owns stocks and donates profits. He speaks on behalf the mistakes and lessons to be learned from the mistakes he made.

He also goes on to talk about what matters and what doesn't, what should we investors should care about. He goes on to explain how to sell, which is very hard in a volatile stock market and a lot of people end up downloading high and selling low.

Cramer talks about how one's emotions can affect their decision disdainfully. A bad mindset, such as a bigotry and impulsiveness can deleterious to even the best investors like Cramer himself, and that brings me to my conclusion: The author, Jim Cramer is outspoken, well-rounded, rhetorically capable, enjoyable, funny, and so forth; but his greatest asset is his honesty. This is an honest, informative, and above all else entertaining book that would be an easy addition to any investors library.

The approach is common sense investing. In plain English, Cramer lays it on the line. Alcoa also gives a fantastic read of how the world is doing.
